Wingnut teabagger loon Sharron Angle says she's thinking about running for president. SRSLY.

Asked if she was planning a run for the White House, Angle, who lost to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in a tightly contested race in November, appeared unwilling to close any doors. "I'll just say I have lots of options for the future, and I'm investigating all my options," Angle responded, according to the Des Moines Register, before asking the organizers to "Please, just invite me back."

I am touching ALL of the Flying Spaghetti Monster's noodly appendages in joy as the networks have just declared Sen. Harry Reid as the winner in Nevada's freakazoid Senate race. Never before (I don't think) have I loathed a political candidate so fiercely with every gay fiber of my being as I do Sharron Angle. (OK, maybe Ruben Diaz.) Congratulations in particular go out to the Nevada Stonewall Democrats who battled so fiercely for Reid. Woo AND hoo, y'all! I can't wait to hear Joy Behar's victory jokes on tomorrow's View.

The two final polls in Sen. Harry Reid's battle against Sharron Angle show him only 1-3 points behind, which is essentially a tie in the famed "margin of error" game. Nate Silver continues to call the seat as "likely GOP." This is the race that will have the nation up very late tomorrow night.

Sharron Angle: The Wicked Ways Of Gay Marriage & Medicare Are Destroying Us

Speaking to a Nevada church, Sharron Angle got all caught up in Jeebus and denounced social programs, abortion, divorce, and gay marriage as the "wicked ways" that are destroying America.

"I confess that we are a nation who has killed our children. I confess that we are a nation who has walked away from the family and allowed divorce even among our ranks. We have walked away from the biblical definition of marriage; one man, one woman, the two become one flesh," Angle said. "We as a nation have been walking away from our constitutional freedom and relying on government instead to take care of the widow and the orphan...we're saying 'well, the government we have all these programs now, aid for families with dependent children and medicare and social security."

According to Angle, "the people" should help their needy, not the government.

Joy Behar's Blowup About Sharron Angle

As I noted in a post early today, Joy Behar called Sharron Angle an "evil moron" and "bitch" for her racist ad about immigration. Tonight Behar is being digitally tarred-and-feathered by the teabaggers and is getting a bit of criticism from the left as well. Below is the original View clip. Not embeddable here but equally worth watching is Behar's follow-up on her own HLN show, where she stood by her words, calling Angle a "stupid race-baiter."

TEXAS: Gold's Gym Owner Robert Rowling Donates Millions To Anti-Gay Group

Gold's Gym CEO Robert Rowling is one of the four billionaires providing 97% of the funding to Karl Rove's "grassroots" political action group, American Crossroads, which in turn is funding the campaigns of anti-gay candidates like Roy Blunt and Sharron Angle. Change.org reports:

Rowling, head of TRT Holdings, which is the owner of Gold's Gym, is spending quite a bit of money this election cycle. Upwards of $2 million to be exact, through both his corporate and personal bank accounts. Where is he sending that money, which he no doubt earns on the backs of many an LGBT customer? Karl Rove. That's right, the former Bush strategist, who co-founded a new political organization, American Crossroads, which is working to elect some of the most virulently anti-gay politicians in the country. Turns out that Rowling is one of a handful of big money men working to get Rove's organization off the ground, helping to turn it into a power player among the political elite.

Who would have thought that giving money to Gold's Gym could have such ugly consequences for the LGBT community? Among the candidates that the owner of Gold's Gym is working to elect include Nevada GOP senate candidate Sharron Angle, who is challenging Sen. Harry Reid. Angle, you might recall, has previously said that women who are raped should turn their lemons into lemonade, and that LGBT people should be barred from adopting children. And that's only the tip of iceberg. In years past, Sharron Angle put her blessing behind an insert that went out to voters that said homosexuality would lead to the destruction of the United States, and called gay people "sodomites" and "perverts." She even endorsed a statement that said there was no evidence to suggest homosexuality was biological, and that scientists who argue otherwise are flawed.

Some Gold's Gyms are corporate owned, others are very LGBT-supportive locally-owned franchises. Check with your Gold's before you make any moves based on this report.

NEVADA: Conservatives Launch Campaign Urging Latinos Not To Vote

A conservative group astroturfing themselves as "Latinos For Reform" have launched an ad campaign urging Nevada's Latino residents not to vote.

The ad was widely seen as an effort to hurt the campaign of incumbent Sen. Harry Reid, a Democrat, who is working hard to turn out Latino voters. Mr. de Posoda, who has long worked with the Republican Party, said he didn’t like either candidate but acknowledged that a Latino boycott would hurt Mr. Reid’s chances. Democrats from President Barack Obama on down condemned his effort. “I think it is terrible,’” Mr. Obama said Tuesday during a roundtable with reporters from Spanish-language outlets. “It is a cynical political ploy to try to drive Latino votes to benefit a Republican candidate in Nevada who would never vote for immigration reform.” Mr. de Posoda argues that politicians take Latino votes for granted and have failed to deliver on promises including enacting comprehensive immigration legislation. To teach them a lesson, his ads argue, Latinos should stay home on Election Day. After complaints from Nevada Democrats and some Republicans, Univision said it would not run the spots, called “Don’t Vote.”
