Gays Caused The NZ Earthquake

From the website Christchurch Earthquake:
"To the hundreds of thousands of people who suffered because of the Christchurch earthquake: Ask yourselves: 'Was the profit from meals, accomodation and transport from 900 poofters and lesbians attending 'Gay Ski Week' worth the $4 billion damage, worth the homes destroyed? Was it worth going to sleep night after night not knowing if the roof will come down on you by morning?" Chris Carter and Helen Clark's government got what they wanted -- 12 year olds on the streets as prostitutes, overseas trips, expensive liquor and credit card junkets, lesbians running loose on the South Island as if they own the place. But, looking at your ruined homes, at all the historic buildings destroyed, ask yourselves, 'Did we get what we wanted in all this destruction?'"
What with Poe's Law and Christwire, it's no longer possible to tell if these people are serious.

HomoQuotable - Will Coxhead

"I'm absolutely gutted that a couple of people in the gay community have ruined this for everyone else. I'm proud to be gay, proud to be an Air New Zealander and extremely proud of my role in the safety video. Obviously there are some people in the gay community that can be a little precious and need to lighten up. If anything this particular scene shows a bit of light hearted humour about the situation." - Will Coxhead (above left), flight attendant for Air New Zealand, who has removed a scene from their comical in-flight safety video in which Coxhead is rebuffed when he invites a kiss from an All Blacks rugby star.

When the clip was released back in August, I noted the grimace on the face of the rugby player, but most of you felt the moment was playful and inoffensive.

Pikachunes - Just A Boy

The video for this nicely retro electro single from New Zealand's Miles McDougall seems like it's going in some gay direction, what with the solo boy and the rainbow unicorn, but by the end it's not so clear. McDougall's voice reminds me a bit of that Crash Test Dummies dude.

Massive Quake Rocks New Zealand

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake centered near Christchurch rocked New Zealand today. The quake hit at 4:30am Saturday morning local time and initial press reports are light on details so far. Aftershocks are continuing. As is the case for breaking news these days, Twitter users are providing the most information. It appears that tsunami warnings have not been issued.

Quote Of The Day - NOM

"An earthquake is beginning: If 'gay is like black,' then 'Christian is like racist.' The early warning signs are now taking place all over the globe. In New Zealand, Exodus Ministries was just stripped of its tax-exempt status, on the grounds that helping gay people lead Christian lives is not a charity." - NOM reacts to yesterday's news that New Zealand doesn't consider "ex-gay" ministries to have a public value. Despite NOM's lies about this, the government did not comment about racism or discrimination in its ruling.

No Public Benefit: "Ex-Gay" Group Denied Charity Status In New Zealand

An "ex-gay" group related to Exodus International has been been judged to have "no public benefit" and therefore ineligible for charity status.
The Charities Commission says the Exodus Ministries Trust Board is not performing any public benefit, because being gay is not a mental disorder and does not need curing. The trust is affiliated with the United States-based Exodus Global Alliance, which promises "freedom from homosexuality through the power of Jesus Christ". It has had charitable status for more than a decade, but that status has now been removed by the Charities Commission under a regime introduced in 2007. The trust claimed it had a legitimate point of view and provided support to homosexuals during "very difficult times". It said a comparison could be made with Rainbow Youth having charitable status, "clearly an education provided by Rainbow Youth Inc. would be from a preconceived point of view, ie that homosexuality and other forms of sexuality are perfectly normal for some people."
It's a pity the same can't be done here.

Air New Zealand Safety Film: Hot Ruggers & A Rebuffed Kiss Request From A Steward

The new passenger safety film from Air New Zealand is cute enough and includes lots of hotties from the famed All Blacks rugby club. But I'm not sure how I feel about the kiss request from the male flight attendant, which is turned down with a grimace by the handsome player. At the 2:45 mark.
